Guide to Installing FinalRun macOS app using DMG

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to install the FinalRun macOS app using the DMG file.

Desktop App Requirements:

  • A macOS computer. MacOS minimum version 10.14

  • Administrator privileges on the macOS computer.

  • The DMG file of FinalRun.

  • Basic familiarity with macOS navigation and operations.

Procedure:

Step 1: Install the DMG file

Double-click on the DMG file. This action usually mounts the DMG file as a virtual disk on your desktop or in the Finder sidebar.

Step 2: Drag and drop the app to the Applications folder

Once the DMG file is double-clicked, you’ll see a window with the FinalRun app and Applications folder. Drag and drop the app to the Applications folder shortcut. This action copies the application from the DMG file to your Applications folder.

Step 3: Launch the Application

Navigate to your Applications folder either by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock and selecting "Applications" from the sidebar or by pressing Command + Shift + A shortcut keys. Locate the installed application and double-click on its icon to launch it.

Step 4: Give Permissions

When you try to open the app, you may see a dialog that says:

FinalRun can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. - Click ok

Open System Preferences, Go to Privacy and Security, and you’ll see ‘“FinalRun” was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer’. Click on Open Anyway.
